Spencer has been a successful consultant for over 30 years, helping clients in the mid-to-national market space lower their healthcare spend while adding value to the plan for members.  

His approach is to develop a Health Management Strategy for his clients so that he can then manage the healthcare supply chain using NextGen’s and Validation Institute's "point solutions". These solutions are direct, transparent and are aligned with the plan sponsor goals based on a performance fee or a fixed fee. The result is reduced costs while increasing quality and adding value to the plan for members – this value is found in “The Pathway to Free Healthcare” which all businesses should have! 

He earned his Certified Pharmacy Benefit Specialist designation in 2019 to help clients navigate the complex and ever-changing pharmacy space. He is a Senior Vice President and Managing Partner, SE of Insurance Office of America where he serves as a Senior Consultant. Spencer is a member of IOA’s Benefits Advisory Board and Co-Chairman of IOA’s Partner relations Committee.

Spencer won a Global Gold Medal from Workforce Magazine for his work in Health Management Strategy Development in 2018, IOA's Employee Benefits Broker of the Year in 2020, and Risk & Insurance's Power Broker of The Year Award in 2021.
